OpenMoji is an open-source project of 53 students and 2 professors of the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd and external contributers. PH Schwäbisch Gmünd had a total of 2.843 students in the winter semester 2016/17, of which about 2.192 were women and only 651 men. The roots of the University go back to the year 1776, in which the first precursor institution, a school of drawing, was founded. It stands on the site of a former, much smaller romanesque church.
